The beam core is loaded with steel coil springs along its entire 16′ 4″ length allowing the top working surface of this beam to become a virtual spring floor.
Benefit: During landings the springs will “give” with the force of the landing creating a “softer” feel with an increased measure of SAFETY for the athlete. This cushioning effect will result in less trauma during landings.
Benefit: The springs assist take-offs allowing for more air time during rebounding skills.
Benefit: Due to this beams unique patentted qualities there is no side to side rocking of the top at any point during use AND the top remains completely flat and stable during non rebounding skills such as turns, dance moves and walking. The “hidden” power of the springs will only come into play during rebounding skills and/or landings.Benefit: The springs assist take-offs allowing for more air time during rebounding skills.
Feature: The suede covering is applied in a completely new manner requiring less adhesive.
Benefit: The suede covering will “billow” out during impact skills creating less stress along the top edge. After many years in the field and in some “high traffic” programs we now state with confidence this will increase the life expectancy of the suede.
Benefit: There will be a reduced need to hire people or send the beam out for recovering as on old model schedules, the increased life expectancy of the sued reduces the cost of owning The Spring Beam over time.
A completely new two piece end cap has been designed to allow for dismounts off the very end of the beam.
Benefit: There are no problems with take-offs that exit the very end of the beam as the end cap will articulate with the top keeping its integrity even during dismounts.
Newly designed adjustable competition legs.
Benefit: The enclosed gas spring assists the raising and lowering of the beam so athletes weighing as little as 75lbs are able to make height adjustments.
Benefit: The internal design of this leg reduces the need for “strength” when tightening after adjustments are made, it now needs only to be snuggly tightened.
Benefit: 20 cm mats will easily fit under this beam without being crimped, squashed or pinched. The legs remain in the same spot on the floor as the beam is adjusted in height.
All components are made of heavy duty materials.
Benefit: The heavy duty construction and materials used in constructing this beam allow for millions of cycles and a very long life span.
